Firewall might be blocking UDP connection with local address X on port Y.
Corona Renderer can smartly detect if the automatic discovery of the render slaves on any network is blocked by your firewall software. If you are experiencing distributed rendering issues, and this message shows up, please try the following:
- On both the slave and the master PCs: modify the firewall inbound rules to allow the connection for 3dsmax.exe and drserver.exe (see: Create an inbound port rules @Microsoft)
And if the above does not help:
- On both the slave and the master PCs: disable the firewall temporarily to check if it solves the problem (this applies to all Windows components such as Windows Defender or Windows Firewall, and also 3rd party firewall and antivirus applications such as AVG, Avira, Kaspersky, etc.)
If you are still experiencing some distributed rendering problems after disabling your antivirus and firewall software completely, please contact us.
